Pumpkin Patch!

It is that time of year again. Fall is in the air and the residents of Griddle Creek are out picking pumpkins. Visitors to Griddle Creek should make their way to Fluffy Farms and pick a fresh pumpkin right out of the patch.

What to do: Pick up a pumpkin. Make that new pumpkin recipe you’ve been thinking about trying. Bake a pie or carve a decoration. Try a pumpkin flavored beverage.

Inside tip: Fluffy is clumsy. Don’t stand close to him at the pumpkin farm unless you want splattered pumpkin on you.

Sonny and Christy each run a team in the same fantasy football league and are extremely competitive with each other.

It’s Melting!

It was another hot one in Griddle Creek today.  Visitors to town do not need to change their outdoor plans but are encouraged to be mindful for any changes in their condition.  Keep yourself hydrated and enjoy yourself.  Griddle Creek is a great place to spend your summers.

Inside tip: Keep your pets and chocolate out of the sun.  Nobody likes melted candy bars.

Beat the Heat!

Design Slip and Slide

The weather in Griddle Creek has been unusually hot these last couple of days. Visitors are definitely experiencing one of the rare heat waves. Local meteorologists are calling this the hottest temperatures in seven years. The weather is expected to return to more comfortable temperatures by next week. In the meantime, the local residents are doing their best to beat the heat. Sonny is staying cool with some friends in his backyard.

Inside tip: Make sure the runway is clear before sliding down the slip and slide.

When looking for a relaxing vacation spot, be sure to put Griddle Creek on your list. While in Griddle Creek be sure to visit the Sunnyside Diner. The Diner is a judgment-free zone. If you feel like ordering desert first, go for it.  Feel like ordering two slices, three slices, or the whole pie, go for it, nobody is going to judge you here.  Take a moment to enjoy the little things.

Inside tip: We recommend you try the pecan pie. It has won several local awards and is famous for being the best in town.
