It’s Melting!

It was another hot one in Griddle Creek today.  Visitors to town do not need to change their outdoor plans but are encouraged to be mindful for any changes in their condition.  Keep yourself hydrated and enjoy yourself.  Griddle Creek is a great place to spend your summers.

Inside tip: Keep your pets and chocolate out of the sun.  Nobody likes melted candy bars.

Falls is near but summer in Griddle Creek is not over yet. The weather is still nice enough to shoot some hoops outside. If you’re in town today get out and enjoy it.

What to do: If you are like Hugo, you go out and try to capture some video footage to post to your social media page.

Where to do it: Hugo is down at Early Bird Park trying to convince people he is the third Splash Brother. Right now, he looks more like a distant cousin.

Inside tip: If Hugo asks you to film one of his trick shots, make sure you have fully charged phone and a lot of patience.

Top of the World!

Design Ferris Wheel

It is the last day of the Griddle Creek Town Fair. If you plan to visit the Fair today is your last chance. It has been another successful year for the Fair with new attractions and bigger attendance crowds than last year.

What to do: The most classic ride at the Fair is the Ferris Wheel. All ages of fairgoers love the Ferris Wheel. Unlike rollercoasters, it is something the whole family can enjoy.

Where to do it: The Ferris Wheel runs all day long. Once in the cars, the wheel can feel a lot taller than it does from the ground. This ride is not for people who are afraid of heights.

Inside tip: The view from the top of the Ferris Wheel is amazing, it feels like you’re on top of the world.

Batter Up!

Play ball. The Griddle Creek summer league is in full swing. Spend a fun day out in the warm summer air.

What to do: Join a summer league and come out to enjoy some friendly competition. Even if you are not playing the games are still enjoyable to watch. Come and cheer on your favorite team.

Where to do it: There are lots of ways to sign up. Come out to Early Bird Field and talk to some of the coaches before or after the game. There is also a signup sheet in the Sunnyside Diner.

Inside tip: It’s hard for a certain player to score runs when the fielders pay attention to the scouting report.

Summer Goals!

Design Summer Goals

Summer, summer, summertime. It is officially summer in Griddle Creek. Stay cool everybody.

What to do: Have some fun in the sun. Check on the elderly. Remember to stay hydrated.

Where to do it: Outside of your living room. Stay safe out there.

Inside tip: The Sunnyside Diner now operating under reduced summer hours. Sonny doesn’t plan to spend his whole summer standing over a hot flat top grill.

Ice Pops Rock!

Design Popsicles

The weather is warming up in Griddle Creek and the residents are getting out to enjoy it. It has been a long winter, but the warm-up is finally here. Today marks the official start of the town’s big tourism season.

What to do: Get out and soak up the warm weather. Griddle Creek has many parks, lakes, and beaches to appreciate. Find yourself a cool refreshment to enjoy while you explore the town.

Where to do it: If you happen upon the Frozen Treats truck while exploring, be sure to try one of the many delightful frozen treats on the menu. They are all made from the finest local ingredients and are very popular with the residents of Griddle Creek.

Inside tip: Sonny tells people he buys two treats at a time because he gets dehydrated easily, but really, he is just greedy.
