Oscar Viewing Party!

Residents around Griddle Creek are gathering with friends to watch the Oscars. If you’re in town visiting, there are also viewing parties being held that are open to the public.

Where to do: Look online for a list of the several locations around town that are hosting Oscar viewing parties. Host your own local viewing party. Café went into the kitchen to get more chips but ran back when he heard the yelling because he thought he had missed something.

Inside tip:  Even though they all have an opinion on who should win, only a few of them have actually seen all of the movies nominated.

Groundhog Day!

The arctic temperatures have lifted but it has left the residents of Griddle Creek wondering how much longer this winter weather is going to last. Desperate for any kind of relief, the Diner customers are willing to listen to weather predictions from anybody.

Inside tip: Don’t take weather forecasts from rodents unless they’re trained meteorologists.

The Sunnyside Diner welcomes all customers. They don’t have a lot of rules but the rules they do have are important. The diner does not allow customers to bring in outside food.

Inside tip: Believe it or not the Sunnyside Diner does have a dress code, no shirt, no pants, no shoes, no service.

For visitors to Griddle Creek who don’t want fast food but are not in the mood to cook, may we suggest the Sunnyside Diner. Their pots and pan work as well as yours do, stop in and give them a try.

Virtually avoiding Reality!

Sonny loves the Sunnyside Diner however he is always looking for more excitement. Recently he has discovered virtual reality. Christy believes Sonny is obsessed with virtual reality and it is affecting his ability to focus on work. Sonny is confused with who this talking rabbit is that keeps interrupting and demanding he abandons his quests.

Inside tip: Don’t sit too close to the counter, Sonny may think you’re a dragon and try to slay you with a wooden spoon.

A popular way to bring in the New Year in Griddle Creek is to head to the main town center and watch the Griddle Crystal Ball drop at midnight. Visitors will be sure to see lots of the residents gathered to participate in this town tradition. Be sure not to miss the countdown!

Design Snowman

It has been an unusually mild winter so far in Griddle Creek. It may not even snow before the end of the year. Business has been steady at the Sunnyside Diner due to the mild weather.

What to do: With no snow on the ground, everybody is looking for new experiences to try this winter.

Where to do it: The weather is tolerable, so visitors to town can safely explore the whole town in comfort.

Inside tip: The patio at the Sunnyside Diner is normally closed for the winter, but management has been known to make some exceptions.

The stores of Griddle Creek are here to meet your needs. Many stores in town have extended their shopping hours for the holidays. Lots of shoppers plan to take advantage of the extra hours. Extended hours can be helpful for folks that do not have traditional work hours. You will have no concerns while spending your holidays in Griddle Creek. While most shoppers are tired out and heading home, there are some that are just getting started.
