Ice Box!

Design Ice Cold

The temperatures in Griddle Creek this week have resembled an ice box. It has been unreasonably cold this last week. The temperatures have been too low to safely enjoy any outdoor activities. The local weather service suggests you only go outside if you have to. Next week’s temperatures look more promising.

Inside tip: If you happen to be in Griddle Creek this week we suggest you stay inside and order room service.

Design Groundhog Day

The arctic temperatures have lifted but it has left the residents of Griddle Creek wondering how much longer this winter weather is going to last. Desperate for any kind of relief, the Diner customers are willing to listen to weather predictions from anybody.

Inside tip: Don’t take weather forecasts from rodents unless they’re trained meteorologists.

Snow Day!

The winters in Griddle Creek are mild but the town does get the occasional snow storm. The extra snow is great for sledding but terrible for commuting. Some businesses do close or have reduced hours during the snow days. Not everybody in town is a fan of the snow.

Inside tip: Some of the town residents avoid coming out in the snow altogether, so our advice is to call ahead and confirm your planned destination is still open.

What to do: This time of year can be stressful. Get out and do something fun.

Where to do it: If you like to go fast, grab a sled and head over to Bread Box Hill, it’s the fastest hill in town.

Inside tip: Watch out for other sledders and snowmen on the way down.
